The ongoing work of keeping your data accurate, complete and consistent. In practice, that means merging duplicate records, fixing typos, and filling in missing required fields. It's never one and done: data needs regular check-ups to keep pace with your work.

Field Mapping
This is the matching game of transferring data. A field, or column, in one dataset is matched to a corresponding column in another dataset that means the same thing. For example, if you have an Excel file of donors and a column called “Donor Email”, it may match to the the field called “Email” in your CRM. It's the first step to figure out whenever moving data from point A to point B.
